This is just a quick post, but we are in our apartment and I love it! The weather here is Amazing. So much nicer than Florida. Our apartment is gorgeous...except for the boxes everywhere. The few people from the ward who came and helped us move in are awesome and we loving it all. Elvis did surprisingly well on the drive up here, which by the way...was LONG. We will have Internet hook up later today, so I can catch up on reading blogs and stuff.
I'm very happy and very excited to start this new journey.
Many thanks to everyone for your help, love and support. We really miss our family, but know this is the right place for us...at least for now:)

It's really happening....
OK, this is the last post probably until Sunday or Monday. We'll see. We got the ginormous truck(16 footer) and have been packing it up. We had awesome help from my sister in law, Valerie, brother in law, Brandon, and the parental unit in-laws...yeah. Needless to say, I'm exhausted and I have a terrible headache. What I call, "virus headaches"...I hate them. Nothing takes the pain away. We are going to go to Walmart to pick up a few things we need and then go to bed. We plan to leave sometime after 12 tomorrow. Jason and I got blessings from my father in law, so we should be safe and sound. I got teary-eyed when we were saying good bye/night to my father in law. It just seems so real. I'm sure hubs and I will be crying tomorrow too.
Okay, I need to get the few things I need before I fall asleep at the computer. Well..I'm not that tired.
Peace out yo.

Ideas anyone?
So, our second anniversary is coming up. We'll be in a new town...not sure what to do. Ideas anyone? I know I want to go and get some massages, but other than that, I don't know. I do know we'll continue our tradition of looking over our wedding video and album. Last year, I tried to copy to the best of my ability, the dinner we had at our wedding. Still debating whether or not to do that. Just putting more on my plate:P

Finally
Looks like we'll be moving on Thursday! We plan to pick up the truck Wednesday afternoon and then drive away Thursday afternoon. Can I get an AMEN? Jason is somewhat sad and that's expected. I guess we've been doing so much talking about moving it was not sinking in, but now...it's reality. I can't wait to get unpacked and just start this next chapter. Meet new friends, start (and finish) school. I'm hoping we'll have a better time in our new ward.
I've already called a few people and will finish up making calls tomorrow morning. We also found a washer and dryer on craigslist that is exactly like the ones we have here for 400 dollars. I reserved the hotels. I just can't wait to move...can you tell?
I'm nervous about moving with Elvis. He hates car rides and I've never moved with an animal. I'm sure it will be fine. I just wish he wasn't such a nervous dog. Anyway, I digress.
I suppose I won't have computer access till Saturday? I dunno. I'll post again before we leave and then once we are moved in, I'll post some pictures and stuff.

I LOVE America
Happy Birthday America! Despite the troubles we are going through, I still think you are the best and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
I am very grateful for the men and women who have sacrificed and who continue to sacrifice their lives for my freedom. I'm grateful for their families too. May God bless each and everyone. You are heroes.
Here are some of my favorite lines from some of my favorite patriotic songs:
The Star-Spangled Banner -do you know the history behind the song?
I LOVE singing this song. The third verse is my favorite. I wish people sung it more often.
"..And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?...
...Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!...
O! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: 'In God is our trust.'
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!"
America the Beautiful
Third verse is favorite:)
"O beautiful, for heroes proved
In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America! May God thy gold refine,
'Til all success be nobleness, and ev'ry gain divine!
O beautiful, for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years,
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood, from sea to shining sea!"
Have you ever heard of Glenn Beck? He rocks. What makes him even cooler? He's a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His life story is inspirational and the icing on the cake is that he is funny! Very entertaining.
On Thursday, my husband and I were watching his nightly show on headline news and what he said made me even more proud of being an American. I watch the news and sometimes CAN NOT believe what some people will say, do, write and act out. Most of the times I am completely disgusted and I get upset and I just don't understand how those people can feel that way. When I hear those people talk about how they hate America, my first thought is just leave! If we were living in any other country, do you think you could actually say the things you are saying without getting into trouble? Probably not.
I love what Glenn Beck said.
(My own comments are in red)
" Well, hello, America. I read an article, a column in a newspaper in Philadelphia, "The Inquirer," that said today that we should put away our flags and cancel the parades and the fireworks, because America has sinned and we don`t deserve to celebrate our independence this year.
Well, "Inquirer," I guess there`s just two ways to look at America. You can either say she`s a failure and her best days are behind her and talk about that. Or you can talk about the things that she has done right, at least once a year. So America, here`s "The Point" tonight.
We should never forget our past, but we CAN NOT live in the past. We learn from the past, but we need to just MOVE ON.
Let me be crazy and say it to mainstream media. We`re the greatest country on earth, and we should celebrate that every day, not just on the Fourth. And here`s how I got there.
I agree 100 percent. WE are the greatest country on earth.
OK, I talk about the economy a lot on this program. And our economy has had some tough times right now. But you know what? We made it through a depression; we`ve made it through wars, oil shocks, major terrorist attacks. And yet here we are, with an economy that just gets pummeled and pummeled and pummeled, and we`re still standing.
This economy is almost as big as the next four largest economies on earth combined. The state of California alone has an economy as large as the entire country of France.
Now, granted, it takes a lot longer to, you know, turn around an aircraft carrier than it does a dinghy, but the problem is not with the ship. The problem is with the ship`s captain, the pea-brains in Washington, and not the crew.
What`s right with America? Well, education. Everybody is going on about how bad it is. And yes, even I complain a lot about the nut-job, left-wing professors, but the truth is that our universities are ranked among the highest in the world. We have more students in college right now than China, India, and Japan combined.
What`s right with America? You don`t need to be an elite family name. You don`t need to be a Rockefeller and have that kind of wealth to get into those colleges. You just have to be smart enough and work hard for it. What a concept, huh?
Be smart and work hard? Who would have thunked it?
What`s right with America? Well, how about the way we treat others? Americans with no help from our government gave a record $306 billion to charities last year alone. That`s relative to the size of our economy. That was 1,000 percent more than the French gave.
What`s right with America? It`s not just the rich who are generous. Two-thirds of families making under $100,000 a year gave to charity.
What`s right with America? Well, how about our supposed third-world health care system. We spend more on health care per person than Switzerland, Germany, Canada, or any other country you can think of. And it`s paying off. In 1900, the life expectancy was 50 years old and you were dead. A century later, it`s over 75.
What`s right with America? Those medical advancements are not just for the rich. They`re for everybody. In 1950, a rich person lived 15 years longer than a poor person. Today, Bill Gates could be expected to outlast the homeless guy in the gutter by four years. It`s getting better.
Did you know that in Germany, they will give the old people a pill that will put them to sleep, permanently? WHY? Because they can't afford to help that many people any more. I think that health insurance policies needs to improve, but I don't need the government to tell me what doctor I can go to, to tell me that I have to wait 3 weeks (or longer) to get an MRI and to tell me that it's "FREE"...free?? Do you call raising my taxes to pay for health care, free?
The list of things that we do right goes on and on and on.
But America, here is what you need to know tonight. Despite what some newspaper columnist wants, I`m going to celebrate America, not only on the Fourth of July, but every day. We don`t need change. We need perspective. I still hope for that."
The program went on and believe me, I could go on about these topics...and more, but ultimately, I love America, I'm proud to be an America.
I also love this world. It's awesome and beautiful. Despite the terrible things that are going on, I still think it's amazing. I'm glad and grateful I was chosen to live now, in this day and age.
I don't think we are here ruining it and that each person on the earth only has a certain percentage of carbon foot prints, or whatever. God sent us to this earth to live, to eat, to breath, to have trials, blessings to learn knowledge. He wants us here. Who ever says other wise...needs help:P
I'm lovin this commercial.
